The kicker for the San Angelo Stampede Express had just split the uprights on a 24-yard field goal as the buzzer reverberated throughout the San Angelo Coliseum, keeping the team in the hunt for the IFL playoffs and saving his teammates from themselves.
The Stampede let the Fairbanks Grizzlies off the hook one time too many, turning what should have been a blowout into a nail-biter of a finish.
