Holman, who was unavailable for the season opener at Chicago on Sunday, played in each of the Extreme’s six seasons. He totaled 5½ sacks in 13 games last year.
The Edge also re-signed linebacker Ray Michel and signed defensive backs Brandon Mosley and Antonio Dishman. Running back Kevin Marshall and offensive lineman Brandon Ford were acquired from Sioux Falls in exchange for future considerations.
The Edge play their first home game at U.S. Cellular Coliseum at 3:05 p.m. Sunday against the Reading Express.
