The Cheyenne Warriors are proud to announce the signing of former Florida Scorpion’s Receiver/Defensive back David Galloway and Field Goal Kicker/Kickoff Specialist Ryan Cotto.
The Florida Scorpions are a professional Indoor Football team based out of Deland, Florida. The Scorpions won a championship in 2010 as a member of the Regional Indoor Football League with a defense that allowed just 12 points all season. In 2011 they participated as a travel team of the American Professional Football League and just recently became a member of the southern based Independent Indoor Football Alliance.
David Galloway is expected to bring great depth to the cornerback and safety spot. David began his career at Leto High school in Tampa Florida where he was a standout receiver and a top college prospect. After his senior year he opted to go pro signing with the Florida Scorpions. Adding to his resume, Galloway also played receiver, running back and even took a few snaps under center in 2011 as a second string quarterback. “We were looking for that second lock down corner to help build a possible championship team,” stated Warrior’s GM Alton Walker. “..And I think we found him.”
The Warriors also bring on kicker Ryan Cotto to help solidify their kicking game. Cotto began his playing career at age 17 at the adult amateur level. He went pro at age 19 signing with the Florida Scorpions after one workout. In 2011, Cotto converted 3 of 4 field goals with his longest attempt coming from 52 yards out. As well Cotto converted 100% of his point after tries. “I am very excited to be a member of the Warriors organization,” said Cotto. “I look forward to meeting the fans and helping Cheyenne win a championship.”...
