Ok what will the IIFA do now? The NEW Lone Star Football leauge Will be taking the local talent. With this new leauge in place does This mean that the IIFA is on it's way out? The LSFL has bigger And deeper pockets. I see the LSFL pushing the IIFA out. Plus The fact that the IIFA only has five teams, not very good for it's fifth year. Makes you wonder if they even have a season this year.

Most of the teams in the LSFL have been around for a few years in other leagues, they just got together for 2012 and formed a league. So that will have no impact on the IIFA. The fact that there will only be five teams in the IIFA for the 2012 season is reason for concern, but is probably due to the economy.

The IIFA has no direct competition with the LSFL or any other league. Their target and strategies are totally different. Most of the teams over the years have played in indoor soccer arenas and I don't know if many if any ever got payed, or if so maybe gas money or something. So the IIFA would be more like a recreational or developmental league because there is no "set" payscale like you have in the other leagues. Also, let's face it, there are lots of great athletes out there..especially in the state of Texas, but not everyone will be able to make LSFL rosters, so the IIFA will always have players who want to move up and use leagues like this to develop.
