MARION, OH- The Marion Blue Racers is proud to announce that they have resigned two -time CIFL Special Teams MVP Mike Tatum. Tatum, a man who is considered by many to be the most dangerous weapon in the indoor game, was last year's leader in Return Yards, Return Touchdowns, Receptions, and All Purpose Yards.
Tatum, also known as "The Weapon", a 5'10" WR who has been clocked at 4.37 in the 40 yard dash, will be a force to be reckoned with in the UIFL.
He is now the 2nd signed MVP that has decided to bring his talents to Marion, joining 2011 UIFL defensive MVP Thomas "T-Mac" McKenzie.
"The 2012 Blue Racers just improved on both offense and in the kicking game with this acquisition," CEO and GM LaMonte Coleman stated. "Tatum has the uncanny ability to change the game at any time, whether he's on offense or returning a kick, he's always one play away from taking it to the house for 6 points."
Tatum, who is already receiving interest from AFL teams, is looking to take his talents to the next level, but happily returns to Marion in hopes of bringing a UIFL championship home. In a brief statement, Tatum was quoted as saying, "I'm loyal to the fans of Marion but most importantly, I believe in the Blue Racer organization and in its ability to market my football abilities."
