Amarillo Venom Teams up with Amarillo VA Health Care System
Amarillo,TX - The Amarillo VA Health Care System and Amarillo Venom will host a Quarterback Challenge event on September 12, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. in support of the Combined Federal Campaign.
The Quarterback Challenge will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2011. Pre-registration is not required and those interested in participating should plan to be on the front lawn of the Amarillo VA Medical Center. The challenge will consist of throwing at a moving target and a distance throwing contest. Also, a goal post will be set up to kick field goals. The Combined Federal Campaign is the largest workplace giving program in the world and the only authorized program for federal employees. It has raised nearly $6 billion since 1961 with employees designating money to the charity with special significance to them. The Amarillo Venom Indoor Professional Football Team plays in the Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum. Currently in their offseason, the Venom begins play for the 2012 season in the spring.
