BINGHAMTON - Binghamton is proud to announce a sure footed addition to the 2012 roster. Business partners Chris Blake and Matt Custer graduated from Susquehanna University and did not have to look far for the next player by signing former Susquehanna Crusader kicker, Bobby Eppleman. While both remember Bobby on the field, Chris has known Bobby for a while. They both grew up outside of Philadelphia and even worked together one summer before they ever realized they had a connection of football.
Bobby was a standout star at Susquehanna while handling both punting and kicking duties. A four year starter, Bobby broke many school records including a record punt of 73 yards during his sophomore season. Eppleman collected many accolades while wearing a Crusader's uniform as he was even named a Division 3 All American during his years at Susquehanna.
After getting looks by the NFL and UFL, Bobby looks to find the starting point in his career through the Indoor Football League and is glad to be in around familiar faces in Binghamton. "One of the most unsettling feelings I have ever experienced was watching the last snap of my college football career. Binghamton has just renewed my spirit with this amazing opportunity and I am looking forward to our team doing phenomenal things!"
Binghamton joins the Atlantic Division of the Indoor Football League and will begin play in February of 2012. The Indoor Football League was created in 2008 from a merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football Association. It consists of 27 teams located across the United States from Alaska to Richmond, VA.
