HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY - The Monsters are back in Northern Kentucky. The Ultimate Indoor Football League team that will call the Bank of Kentucky Center home has been officially named the Northern Kentucky Monsters.
The teams color scheme will be black, purple and vegas gold. Additionally, the team will retain all of the team records from the previous UIFL team from Northern Kentucky.
"When I saw the logo and the colors I loved it," said Monsters head coach Brian Schmidt. "It screams Monster football, and will allow us to create an identity with our fans. Monster football has arrived!!"
In addition to the names and color scheme, the Monsters have announced the hiring of Amy Williams and Sondra Johnston Macht to the team's front office. Williams has been named the Monsters' Director of Game Day operations, while Johnston Macht will be the Assistant Director of Game Day Operations.
"Amy and Sondra have vision and ideas that will make the game day experience inside the Bank of Kentucky Arena really fun and unique for the whole family," said Schmidt. "They are committed to making the Monster experience something special."
Northern Kentucky will begin the 2012 season in early March as a part of the UIFL's Northern Division, which includes the Cincinnati Commandos, Marion Blue Racers, Danville Dragons, Saginaw Sting, Erie Explosion, Canton Cougars and Johnstown Generals. The team's website will be available in the coming weeks.
