LSFL Set to Begin Inaugural Season in Spring of 2012
SAN ANGELO, TX. : As part of a new era for indoor professional football, Texas-based indoor professional football organizations have agreed to a partnership to form a new indoor professional football league titled the Lone Star Football League. The inaugural season for the Lone Star Football League is scheduled for the spring of 2012 as prominent Texas-based teams will be joining the LSFL in the coming months.
Furthermore, the Lone Star Football League is pleased to announce that Darlene Jones has been named League Commissioner. Jones has spent seven years as owner of the San Angelo Stampede Express Indoor Professional Football organization, and has previously served as President of numerous executive committees through several indoor professional football leagues.
"This is an exciting day for indoor football, and we are looking forward toward developing a bright future for the Lone Star Football League. We are focusing on building a successful league the right way, and it will be a league consisting of great organizations. " stated LSFL Commissioner Darlene Jones.
In addition to today's announcements, the Lone Star Football League has unveiled the league's official logo featuring the state of Texas. The Lone Star Football League will make further announcements regarding the additions of teams at a later date.
