Estero, FL. - Head Coach/Director of Football Operations Michael Taylor added another weapon in the Tarpons' receiving arsenal with the addition of Charles Walker, a Marshall University graduate.

Starting his career at Laney Junior College, Walker set several records there including many single season records as well as setting a record for most receiving yards in a career. After attending Laney, Walker received scholarship offers from California, Colorado State, and Marshall.
In two seasons with the Thundering Herd, Walker was regarded as a leader in the meeting room and on the field. He finished his collegiate career at Marshall, starting 25 games and recording 59 catches for 601 yards and five touchdowns.
After college, Walker had workouts for several professional teams, including the San Francisco 49ers. Walker was born and raised in Oakland, California and was coached and mentored by Florida Tarpon's west coast scout Anthony Jackson.
