The Cougars signed D3 All-American Defensive Lineman Lambert Budzinski from Mount Union. Budzinski who is a graduate of Massillon Jackson High School and played his college career at the University of Mount Union helping lead the team to 4 Division 3 National Championships to include winning the title in 2008. When asked why the Cougars' Lambert stated, "The Cougars organization is going to provide me with an opportunity to continue to develop as a player as well as play close to family and friends." "Having met with the owner Tim Clark and Head Coach Paul Farrah I am excited about the direction they want to take the team for 2012 and look forward to helping turn it around."
The Canton Cougars also made an unprecedented move by signing Rashan Hall. Hall the former Canton McKinley, and Canton Legends standout, who stepped down as the Head Coach of the Cougars last season has decided to suit up for 2012. Initially Hall was to be retained as an Assistant Coach and the Director of Player Personnel, but after several discussions with the Cougars, Hall decided he would better serve the team as a player than as a coach and still has a desire to play. "Having seen Rashan play and the on field leadership ability he has, he will be a force to be reckoned with in this league." "Rashan is a phenomenal athlete and a person; he will definitely be one of the faces of this team for 2012," owner Tim Clark stated.
The Canton Cougars begin the 2012 season in March. Season tickets currently on sale for $49.00 all 7 games, any available seat including front row.
