Team Announces Name and Logo, Official Hotel Partnership

Laredo,Tx- Don’t miss the Hiss! That’s right Laredo; the Laredo indoor Football Team has chosen a name and created its logo. The Team has chosen the Rattlers as the team’s name, chosen for its fierce and venomous bite and is commonly found here in the Laredo area.
“We chose the Rattlers because we want our logo to be a part of the Laredo’s history and culture”, Said Chad Dittman, the team’s owner.
“There were a hundreds of names submitted but we wanted to choose a name that everyone in the area can identify with. Just like we did when we picked the team name, we worked hard to make sure our logo really captured the spirit of the area.” The winner is being selected from the 18 entries that entered the Rattlers name.
The grand prize winner will receive a pair of season tickets for the life of the team and a personalized game jersey along with being able to toss the coin at the inaugural home game.
The remaining contestants that entered the name chosen will receive a pair of season tickets for the 2010 season. “We were amazed by the response we got in the name the team contest,” said Dittman.
“Almost 550 entries were submitted with many creative names”.
The logo is very symbolic, from the colors to the design. The team colors are navy, vegas gold, antique gold and red. The rattlesnake preparing to strike shows that everyone on the team is ready to strike at any time.
The classic lettering in the name represents the history of Laredo. These things represent values for the team and community. “It’s wonderful to have a logo with such a great meaning behind it, said Jaime Lucio, a consultant for the Rattlers.
The team is very excited to have such great partnerships. The Rattlers have teamed up with La Posada hotel as being the “Official hotel of the Laredo Rattlers.
La Posada is a beautiful and historic hotel. In 1961 the old high school that was established in 1916 was converted into La Posada Hotel welcoming guests from around the world.
The hotel is built around four historic buildings. The old Laredo High School today is the main entrance to the hotel, and houses the front desk and lobby, the Zaragoza Grill, meeting rooms, the Philip V Ballroom, The Tesoro Club and the hotel’s administrative offices.
The Ballrooms are located in the what was once a 19 th century convent. Team president Chad Dittman said, “We are excited to announce La Posada hotel as the Official Hotel for the team and look forward to providing the same type of service to our fans as the hotel does its guests.”
