I would like to extend my congratulations to the Blackhawks and their fans as well. They showed up in great numbers last night. I know there wasn't a lot for you to cheer for, but I still saw you supporting your team late in the second half. That's a true fan. And it's difficult to not like your players. They seem like a great, hard working group of guys. They also showed a great deal of sportsmanship after the game, sticking around to watch the presentation and then joining in the group prayer at mid-field. It was a fine example to any young people there (or even older people) on the appropriate way to deal with defeat. I remember 2005 vividly, watching Sioux Falls leave the Tyson with the trophy in hand. It sucks, but you have to remember why you're a fan. We are fans of these teams because they are representative of our communities. They play for the love of the game and they deserve our respect and support. And when you think about those things, winning trophies does become secondary. Both teams did a great job of representing their communities this season and we should be proud to be fans of both organizations.
Enjoy the rest of your summer and have a great Fall and winter. Hopefully we meet again wherever that may be.

We weren't up to par this year, but the guys I go watch every week are hardly a joke.

Things get said in the heat of the moment, but after all the trash talking was put aside, and I had a night to sleep on it, I felt it was necessary to express my thoughts on the game and the season from a clearer perspective.
