Richmond, VA: The Indoor Football League is proud to announce that 2011 Conference Championships are here! Four teams will battle to gain way to the United Bowl next weekend, to be named the United Bowl Champion for 2011.
This weekend's Conference Championship battle will start in Allen, TX as the Tri-Cities Fever travels to take on the Allen Wranglers for the Intense Conference Championship. The Winner of this will head to the United Bowl next weekend! The Wranglers have proved their strength in the post season beating out two of the IFL's top contenders in 2011 the Wyoming Cavalry and the Wichita Wild. Tri-Cities path has not been one to over look as well, as the Fever have gone 2-0 against a tough Roughnecks team and the Colorado ICE. All buck stops in Allen as this Conference Championship match up takes place on Saturday night.
The United Conference Championship will take place in beautiful Sioux Falls, SD as the Green Bay Blizzard visit to take on the Storm. The Storm are steady and strong at 14-1 total for the season, giving up one loss in the regular season to the Omaha Beef. The Blizzard has again shown that they are true competitors in entering the post season for the second year in a row. Led by QB Jameel Sewell who threw for 200 yards and 5 touchdowns in the Blizzard's round two matchup is ready to stop the Storm from repeating as a Conference Champion for another year. Dixon QB for the Storm and 2011 IFL M.V.P will be looking to find his groove and make his way to another United Bowl after taking the title with the Billings Outlaws in 2010.
