www.kristv.com/news/hammerheads-considering-a-new-league/CORPUS CHRISTI - After a long season in a new league, the Hammerheads are weighing their options for 2012. Though they found solid competition in the Southern Indoor Football League, the team also ran into unstable teams who at times refused to travel and even play games.
So far this offseason Owner Chad Dittman says his group has been courted by the Ultimate Indoor Football League, who is under new ownership, and is now making a major play for the Hammerheads.
"There is a lot they are bringing to the table. They want to make us there exclusive expansion department for the state of Texas. Myself and Joe Kramer would handle all the expansions in the state of Texas. It's a big deal so we are looking at it but only if we don't have to make the change we don't want to. I know Joe is meeting with the president and SILF tonight after that we are going to sit down next week and discuss our options and make a decision," said Dittman.
