With less than a minute left in the first half, just when the Placer County Bears defense thought they would come up with their first stop of the night, on fourth and fourteen, Barons QB Thomas Peregrin threw a forty-yard, tear-drop touchdown pass to Isaac Porter to make the score 43-14.
It was the Barons fifth-consecutive scoring drive.
Bears ensuing possession was halted by a Ryan Johnson interception squashing any hopes of a touchdown before the end of the half and marking their fourth offensive possession that ended without a score.
Three of those possessions were four and outs and one ended on a fumble recovered by Barons linebacker Antoine Barlow who ran it back for a touchdown making it 21-0 with 4:36 left in the first quarter.
Barons first scoring drive came off a short pass from quarterback Thomas Peregrin to running back Luke Lipincott, and the second came off a run by Peregrin that was broke open by a nice block from wide receiver Isaac Porter.
Bears would score in the closing minute of the first quarter on a floating pass to wide receiver Benny Beth to make it 21-6
Barons next two touchdowns came from the talent of running back Keithen Valentine who jammed one in on a wildcat run to the right and another on a pass from Peregrin over the middle with 15 yards after the catch to make the score 35-6 with 4:34 left in the half.
Bears scored one more on a pass to Nick Foster over the middle to make it 35-14 with two minutes left in the half.
Second half is about to start with Barons up by 29 (43-14)
