ALBANY, Georgia -When the Albany Panthers (10-2) hit the Albany James H Gray Civic Center Saturday night for the first round of the Southern Indoor Football League playoffs against the Erie Explosion (9-3), there will be hundreds of City employees on hand for "City of Albany - Government Night".
"City of Albany - Government Night" festivities will include Travis Goodson, a local recording artist, performing the National Anthem. The invocation will be delivered by Walter Price, Materials Manager at the City Store Room. Jovi Hall will perform the Coin Toss and Roger Marietta, Mayor Pro Tem, will deliver the Game Ball.
As an added bonus, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Panthers 9th man rally towel.
"We're excited about the added value the Panthers bring to this community," said Mayor Pro Tem Roger Marietta. "We are looking forward to a great game Saturday night and it's our goal to help the Panthers pack the Civic Center as they continue their playoff push."
Saturday night, June 18th, the Panthers will host the Erie Explosion in the first round of the SIFL playoffs. All seats are $15. Tickets are available by contacting the Albany Civic Center Box Office, going online to Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com), or by calling 877-544-TIXX(8499).
