Blizzard Update: The IFL office announced this week that the Blizzard has clinched the Great Lakes Division title. Last week, Green Bay jumped to 48-3 halftime lead and finished strong for 61-25 win over the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. Both teams played without their starting quarterbacks in the second half due to injury. Blizzard running back DeMaundray Woolridge and wide receiver Bryan Pray led the first-half scoring surge. Woolridge had four rushing touchdowns (1, 2, 1, 1 yards) and Pray caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Willie Copeland (35, 30 yards). Woolridge tied a Blizzard single game rushing record with the four touchdowns. The Green Bay defense played another great game by scoring two touchdowns, forcing seven turnovers and only allowing three points through three quarters of play. Defensive backs Ellis Powers and Mike Turner scored the two defensive touchdowns.
Slaughter Update: As many IFL teams have this season, Chicago lost 76-28 to Sioux Falls last week. It was the first game for the Slaughter's newly acquired quarterback Juice Williams. The former University of Illinois signal caller put Chicago on the scoreboard first with a quarterback keeper, but Sioux Falls would take control the rest of the way. Williams struggled with the passing game in his first start completing 10-21 for 62 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. He did most of his damage on the ground, rushing 22 times for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Chicago turned the ball over a total of five times. The Slaughter defense had three players with double digit tackles.
Series: Chicago leads the series 4-1. Green Bay lost in Chicago earlier this year 42-39 when Slaughter kicker Chris Nendick hit a 33 yard field goal at the end of the game.

Defensively, the Blizzard is fourth in the IFL by allowing 35.3 points per game and the Slaughter allow 43.2 points. Blizzard linebacker Greg Jackson is fourth in the IFL with 101 tackles. He needs 13 tackles to break the Blizzard single season record of 112 set by Stephen Cason in 2007. Blizzard kicker Josh Shene leads the IFL in made field goals with 28. The Slaughter defense is lead by linebacker Lenny Radtke. He is second in the IFL with 106 tackles. Slaughter wide receiver Shantone Powers leads the IFL in all purpose yards with 1,542.
