Indoor Football's best rivalry comes to a head Saturday when the Albany Panthers and Columbus Lions meet for the third time this season in a game that will determine the East top seed for the SIFL playoffs.
Both teams are 9-1 and have split the two games so far this season.
Since losing 46-26 to Albany on April 2, the defending champion Lions have won seven straight. Albany has not lost on the road this season, including three wins decided by three points.
Columbus' Anthony Merritt has rushed for 8 TDs, caught 11 and returned two on kickoffs. Albany QB Cecil Lester has thrown 52 TDs this season.
ABILENE AT RIO GRANDE VALLEY
This game will help determine the West' fourth and final playoff seed.
The Magic have won two straight while the Ruff Riders have lost six of their last seven.
HARRISBURG AT ERIE
The Explosion will try to regain momentum after losing to Trento last week while Harrisburg will try to post its second victory over Erie this season.
FAYETTEVILLE AT ALABAMA
The Hammers try to get their offense back after managing just 27 against Columbus last week.
CAROLINA AT RICHMOND
The Speed has won its last two games while Richmond has lost five straight.
LOUISIANA AT CORPUS CHRISTI
One of the sport's oldest rivalry resumes for the second straight week as the Hammerheads look to beat the Bucs after LA posted a 68-47 decision in Lake Charles.
