i thinks its so funny how elbandito talks about how Sioux city is such "real pro team" and the APFL is such a easy league, and you hope y'all go back up to the IFL again. Anyone that has followed the IFL and the UFL in the past KNOWS that Sioux city was the team that everyone including the Co Ice used to take a DUMP on every year. I'm glad your owners figured it out and tucked there tails and RAN FROM THAT LEAGUE! You haven't had a winning season in the last 4 years so it was bound to happen for you. I'm glad you feel like you need to talk crap and take shots at the League where the Bandits will be members for years to come. Thats why Tommie Williams left last year because y'all didn't have a Chance in that LEAGUE!! Well since you want to go down that road, I said it earlier this year, you're right. The Bandits sucked for the last four years. They had horrible performances in the IFL, but still made the playoffs occasionally. But yes, they were horrible. And now they are in the APFL and destroying teams week and week out to the point where everyone I've talked to in Sioux City laughs about the competition, and I have to defend the league by saying "at least CB is pretty good". What does that say about this league. A horrible IFL team dominates the APFL. It doesn't make winning the APFL something to puff your chest out about, that's for sure. As one player I talked to said, "it's nice to be winning again, but it's not really anything to get excited about." Now there are two competitive teams in the APFL; Sioux City and Council Bluffs. The rest is absolute garbage. I've seen better high school teams. Not every player on those teams is bad, but as whole it is awful. At the beginning of the season people on here were insistent that the talent level was comparable to the IFL. It's not and it's not even close. As for being in this league for the next several years, if that is true you will see the attendance level drop off in Sioux City and the quality of players decline as well. Everyone will have lost interest if this goes on for another year, and it seems more likely that the Bandits would drop to the pack rather than the pack step up. Winning is great if you're playing real competition, but people won't keep paying to see non-competitive football. We'd be better off scheduling Council Bluffs in a best of seven series and calling it a season.

Well next time just take the player down memory lane they cant keep a head coach because they where losing so bad, they almost imploded and sold the team do to financial reason. The level of talent was down bc of them losing all the time NO Body wanted to go up there to play but the LOCALS. That should get them back in check and you being a fan should definitly be grate the apfl is even around because if it wasnt your record would be 3-10 again or may be even 0-0 with no team.

As I said, I would be happy to be 3-10 in a competitive league. At least the games weren't a bore by halftime. Professional sports need drama. The only drama this year has been "why was so and so thrown out of the game at halftime?" Our starting quarterback has only worn his shoulderpads and helmet out for the second half in three games this season. As for selling the team, there was never any financial problems. The Bandits are one of the few organizations in indoor football that have turned a profit every season. Even in the down years, they have turned a profit. Even the last IFL season, which was probably the worst, they still averaged around 4000 fans.

For many years Iowa fans have screamed to move "up" to the IFL or some other league. More stability, better competition, and less BS. But the reality is this...there is no perfect scenario. I think the point Bodilla is trying to make is...every league out there has dominant teams (i.e. SC this season and S.F. in the IFL all seasons) and the less than dominant ones (yes the IFL has those too).
Changes need to be made for sure and if the rumors I hear are even somewhat true...there will be changes. I could fill a page with what needs to change but the bottom line is the almighty dollar. SC may be making money but other teams in this league need to figure that part out.
And for those fans and coaches in SC that say Iowa isn't all that good...keep thinking that. Well at least until Saturday around 9:30 or so when the Blackhawks shock the APFL and THREE-PEAT!!!

Thank You Bodilla! Somebody had to say it and they knew it was coming!!! ;D I am confused by all this. Bodilla is trying to say that the blackhawks suck so bad that they are getting beat up on by the worst team in the IFL. Well good for you.

A loser would enjoy beating up scrubs every week and acting like they've accomplished something incredible. Real athletes enjoy competition and a challenge. It's better to go 3-10 against top level competition than 13-0 against horrible teams (minus CB).

Are we really talking about the Bandits in the IFL? Seriously... bottom line is the Bandits are in the APFL and headed to the Championship game. Someone said it earlier this season, it's hard to beat a team 4 times... but it is possible and I am sure the Bandits are aiming to prove that Saturday.
As for the post about Tommie Williams, what head coach quits on his team with 2 games left? That's real leadership right there! Tommie didn't come to sioux city to make it a winning team, he came to make it more of a fiasco than it already was. As you can tell, I have no respect for Mr. Williams.
Now, on a side note; what happened with kaylon price? what about big Ruck? I was in council bluffs last weekend to watch the Mid Mo game and didn't see either?

the bottom line is the almighty dollar. Very true JP. If (and we all know about if's) Topeka and CB had the appropriate financing, both teams could do quite well in the larger leagues. They would be able to bring in players to compliment many of their existing talented players. Prime example is Wichita when they got some money. They were able to turn into a very competitive team in a rather short period of time, and actually had a deep run in the play offs.

Do the blackhawks and their fans know that the Bandits only have 5 players on their team that have ever played a down of indoor football before the season let alone in the IFL? How many do the blackhawks have?
We have 20+ rookies on this team and this is NOT the team we fielded in the IFL. I would wager the blackhawks are more of an "IFL" team than the Bandits experience wise.

what's your point? You have at least one uber-experienced player at every spot except running back.
Below are players on the Bandits roster on their website who have Bandit experience alone:
Ardley, Jensen, Williams, Mothershead, Bonwell (Mr. Sioux Falls Storm), Mitchell, Tonga, Bull, Poulosky
I don't know about the others. 5 players? BS. These Bandits are hardly inexperienced, especially at key positions such as QB and DB.
Do the Blackhawks have more guys with IFL experience? I count 7 off of the roster on the Blackhawks site who I think have IFL experience. And two of those guys aren't with the team anymore.

Otherwise, I don't think he has any indoor experience. Bull and Poulosky are not with the team. I believe they played in one game when guys were missing for a road game, but they don't practice with the team and only filled in for that one game. Ardley, Buddy, Mothershead, and Tonga are old time Bandits and Jensen has been around for a couple years now. So you listed five current Bandits who have had indoor experience prior to this season, just like Doobi said. You guys have several players with indoor experience from higher leagues as well. That's why you're actually good and able to make the games against Sioux City interesting. I wish every team in the league had several players that were at least in camp with IFL or AFL teams.
